Just like my own wedding inspired me to start baking and decorating cakes more than 25 years ago, it was my daughter’s big day that reignited the passion and love I have for baking and sugar craft. In 2013, as I researched ideas for Emma’s wedding cake, I decided to dig out my apron and start my own cake business once again. All You Need is Cake was born.

I first started baking and decorating cakes more than 25 years ago when I got married. I wanted to make my own wedding cake, but soon realised decorating it was harder than it looked. Determined to learn, I invested in some books and basic equipment and practised until I mastered the different techniques. I never looked back.

What started as a hobby soon turned into a part-time business. I began supplying several shops in and around Deal in Kent, and later opened a tea room and outside catering business with my sister.

Back to the present, All You Need is Cake is run from my home kitchen in Deal, giving my clients that authentic homemade taste that keeps their friends and family going back for seconds! I take great pride in using only the finest ingredients, including free-range eggs – ensuring my cakes taste as amazing as they look – and work closely with every customer to create the bespoke cake they desire for their special occasion. I am also fully insured and have a 5* food hygiene rating.
